Garré Winery Wedding
This Garré Winery wedding in Livermore, CA was the perfect mix of classic, clean, and romantic, and one of those days that reminded us why we love documenting Northern California celebrations so much.
Peyton and Anthony are truly the kindest, most down-to-earth couple. We actually met them over a year before their wedding at a wedding fair in San Jose, and they told us later they felt an instant connection. Hearing that we were the vendor they were most excited to work with? That’s something we don’t take lightly.
They chose a combination of our standard photography and videography coverage, which gave them a really balanced way to document the day. With up to 8 hours of coverage and a four-person photo and video team, everything from the big moments to the in-between ones was captured. Their final gallery included over 500 images, along with a collection of edited videos. From a highlight film to full ceremony and reception footage, everything was there so they can revisit the day from start to finish.
Peyton and Anthony’s day felt joyful, organized, and completely relaxed, exactly what we know so many engaged couples are hoping for.
Getting Ready on a Warm Fall Morning
Peyton and Anthony’s wedding took place on a warm October day in Livermore, one of those golden Northern California afternoons where the light just hits differently. Fall weddings at vineyards are always a favorite of ours, especially when couples are exploring beautiful Northern California wedding locations with both indoor and outdoor options.
Peyton and her bridesmaids wore variations of soft light blue dresses, while Anthony and his groomsmen complemented the look with light blue ties. The palette of light blue, white, and lush greenery felt timeless and fresh, clean without feeling overly formal.
The energy all morning was calm and happy. No rushing. No stress. Just excitement.
Why They Chose Garré Winery
There’s a reason couples are drawn to a Garré Winery Wedding.
Garré Winery offers a stunning outdoor ceremony site lined with flowers and Italian cypress trees, along with the beautiful Bella Rosa event space for getting ready, cocktail hour and guest mingling, and reception. Both spaces are a short walk from each other and makes the flow of the day seamless. Guests can move comfortably from ceremony to cocktail hour to dinner without feeling scattered.
For couples planning in the East Bay, it’s one of those venues that checks a lot of boxes:
Gorgeous vineyard backdrops
Easy guest flow
Built-in sunset portrait locations
Large guest capacity (up to 370 guests)
Distinct, stylish spaces for ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception
Peyton and Anthony loved that everything could happen in one place, and as photographers and videographers, we love that too.
An Emotional First Look in the Vineyard
Before the ceremony, Peyton and Anthony chose to do a private first look tucked beside the vineyards at Garré Winery, and it was one of the most emotional parts of the day.
If you’re on the fence about doing a first look, this is exactly why we love them.
They exchanged gifts and had a private moment together, and you could literally see their nerves melt away. There were tears, laughter, deep breaths, and the kind of long hug that grounds you before a big moment.
By the time the ceremony started, they weren’t anxious anymore, they were just excited!
From a photography and videography perspective, it also gave us time to capture genuine reactions without a crowd watching. The vineyard backdrop, warm fall light, and quiet privacy made it incredibly intimate. It set the tone for the entire day.
An Outdoor Ceremony Full of Meaning
Their ceremony was officiated by Peyton’s aunt, which made everything feel even more personal. You could feel how close these families were. During the ceremony, you could sense the warmth and support surrounding them. It wasn’t just romantic, it was grounded and real.
That’s something we always look for when documenting weddings. The in-between glances. The steady hands. The deep breaths before “I do.” followed by cheers from close family and friends.
Golden Hour in the Vineyards
One of the biggest advantages of a Garré Winery wedding is the onsite area for sunset photos.
Because Peyton and Anthony booked our standard photography and videography package with two photographers and two videographers, we were able to divide and conquer throughout the day. With a longer timeline and lots of moving parts, having extra coverage made everything feel smooth and intentional.
We also use headsets to communicate during key moments (especially useful when we’re not standing next to each other). That coordination was essential during moments such as sunset portraits so we didn’t have to shout across the venue or interrupt the moment. It kept everything relaxed, which shows in the final images and film.
The vineyard light that evening was soft and golden, wrapping around them in the most romantic way.
A Reception That Brought the Party
If we had to describe the reception in one word? Electric. And on a Thursday, no less. Their guests absolutely showed up for them. The dance floor was packed all night, easily one of the wildest dance parties we’ve ever seen!
They added some really fun, personal touches:
A full donut hole dessert table
Custom signature drinks (Peyton’s was a lemon drop, Anthony’s a spicy margarita)
A bubble exit at the end of the night
But what stood out most wasn’t the decor, it was the energy. The laughter. The hugs. The kind of celebration that feels big without feeling over-the-top.
The Sweetest Words Afterward
After delivering their photos and films, they sent us this:
“Tangerine Weddings was, hands down, our favorite vendor we got for our wedding back in October. We met them at a wedding fair in San Jose and felt an instant connection with them. They added such an awesome energy to our day, making it even more memorable and we are still giddy about how wonderful our wedding photos and videos turned out! Can’t stop looking at them. Definitely consider them to be your wedding photo/video team!!”
That’s exactly the experience we aim for. Beautiful imagery, yes, but also calm energy and genuine connection before, during, and after the wedding day.
